We're Getting Married! + Introducing the Getting Hitched Series

And so it begins… With our engagement right around the corner, I am thrilled to be documenting each step of the wedding planning process as I live it out in my new “Getting Hitched” post series. I’ll be sharing the lessons learned and best practices bookmarked so you also have the info for your special day whenever that time comes (or perhaps you’re just a nosy family member or friend who’s here for the details before the big day - I’m here for it and you know how much I love to spill the tea!).
Introducing Getting Hitched
Not only will I be documenting the latest updates on my YouTube vlog channel in video form as they happen so you can enjoy the beautiful aesthetics (and I’m sure a mental breakdown or two), but I will be going into greater detail here on the blog in Getting Hitched. My plan is to highlight each element of the process in themed blog posts - so for example, when we choose the officiant we will be going with, I will compose a blog post with the tips + tricks from what we learned through our experience, the questions we asked to make our decision, and the full rec with links so you can reach out to them if you dig their vibe, too!
I’ve always dreamt of sharing every little nitty gritty detail about my wedding day on my blog (and vlog) so that I can remember exactly how I felt along the way, decompress with every big decision made, AND get to share it with other future brides who may be looking for some helpful insight. I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am that the moment has finally arrived! Stay tuned for more coming very shortly… :)
Miss the news?
Jared and I have announced in recent social media posts + vlogs that we will be engaged by summer of 2022 and tying the knot in fall 2023 or 2024. We will be getting married in Portland, Oregon surrounded by just our nearest and dearest family and friends, in a relaxed, intimate autumn ceremony. While preparing for the big day, I’ll also be dreaming up our Canadian honeymoon, a fabulous drag queen Bachelorette brunch, and so much more. Join us as we buckle in for the ride of our lives!
