48 Hours in Seattle, Washington (Winter 2024)

Last December, my new husband and I ventured to Seattle for a couple days of shows and holiday relaxation. We were super excited to check out the new Christmas Market and see some of our all-time favorite artists (surprisingly, we got to meet a couple, too!). I write these roundups to help others gather ideas for upcoming trips. This is 48 Hours in Seattle, Washington!

48 Hours in Seattle, Washington

Jinkx & DeLa Show at The Moore Theatre

We kicked off our trip with a show at the Moore Theatre. Moore is one of my favorite cozy venues in the city, it’s much smaller than the average theatre and provides so many snack and drink options to further improve your experience! We have wanted to see Jinkx & DeLa live for many years now and we were so fortunate to have won two tickets (and VIP Meet & Greet experience) to this year’s show (one of a few dates happening in Seattle)! They were simply fabulous and I highly recommend their wonderful annual holiday show to anyone interested.

Seattle Christmas Market

The first annual Seattle Christmas Market took place near the Seattle Center and was such a unique, fun experience. We got to taste a variety of German-inspired eats (cakes, cream puffs, stollen, raclette cheese sandwiches, the list goes on) and shop from lots of local vendors offering everything from clothing to olive oil. Mark your calendar for this exciting event next year!

Macklemore Show at Climate Pledge Arena

On Day 2, it was time for another show! This time a major arena show seeing the one and only Macklemore at Climate Pledge Arena. I’ve been to Climate Pledge a couple times the past few years and always have a great experience. The staff is friendly, helpful, and the seats are great no matter where you sit in the house! Of course I also can’t say enough great things about Macklemore, too - absolutely buy a ticket to his show if you have the opportunity! He is such an incredible person with an incredibly entertaining show.

Din Tai Fung

In true Kathryn & Jared fashion, we wrapped up our trip at Din Tai Fung. Whenever we’re in a larger city we love to stop by this chain spot - they make simply THE BEST steamed buns, noodles, and dumplings. At the waitress’s suggestion, we tried their new sea salt cream with our favorite chocolate buns and it definitely elevated the dessert - highly recommend!

Hope this little recap gave you some ideas for your next trip to the city! :) Have a Seattle rec you think I need to try? Pop it in the comments below!
