What femme doesn’t love everything wedding glam!? Kathryn was super eager to find her dream HMUA for our big day and boy oh boy did Stephanie deliver. We researched companies on The Knot early on in our wedding planning journey and landed on Luxe Artistry Group. Once the owner of Luxe got back to us with a list of available artists, Kathryn knew who she needed to book: Stephanie! She could tell she was a curvy Latina powerhouse who would get her vision and be so fun to learn from. Plus, the owner of Luxe said that she would recommend this pairing due to the shared organized, type A style between the two of them. Stephanie came with decades of experience and a realistic, collaborative approach.
Upon meeting for the bridal glam trial, both of us knew we had made the right choice in bringing Stephanie on board. In addition to Kathryn’s bridal glam, she performed hair and makeup on a variety of family members and ceremony party folks the morning-of, and was super attentive and helpful in answering any questions that come up. She gave super helpful instructions and hot tips to ensure our entire party was well prepared to reap their best results.

For Kathryn’s bridal glam approach, they landed on Old Hollywood-inspired curls and a natural paint featuring some gold eye shimmer, blush, and a statement red lip (a combination custom-mixed by Stephanie herself incorporating the various shades of red and orange in our wedding color palette). Ultimately, Kathryn wanted Jared to recognize her and didn’t want any over-the-top glam that would make her look unrecognizable or too “airbrushed”, and Stephanie delivered an effortless, clean glam.

I’d like to look as close to myself as possible and eliminate any elaborate glamour. Are you okay with this natural approach?
Do you have any tips for skin and hair prep? Should I wash my hair morning-of? Anything specific I should know?
What are your thoughts on the best hair transition from veil to flower crown later in the night?
What order should we complete the services in?
Are you able to add another hair service a couple months out? Do we need to extend our venue rental to make this happen?
We rented out the entire upstairs space at our venue for a girls’ getting ready glam party morning-of, complete with delivered charcuterie, brunch bites, and mimosas. We were thrilled to see the level of beauty that Stephanie brought to our event and know that our friends and family will remember this shared memory for years to come.
