Sephora Sale Favorites (Spring 2022)

Before the Sephora Sale has come and gone, I figured I’d add my two cents into the mix! While Rogue and VIB have already made their picks (if not, there’s still time!), us Beauty Insiders have a mere few days to make our choices. I used to hold VIB status, but have been ordering only essentials this past year (not mad about it - she’s a frugal queen!). Here are my Sephora Sale favorites:

Sephora Sale Favorites: Spring 2022 Edition

Daily Makeup

Brow Definer Triangular Brow Pencil - Anastasia Beverly Hills

All of Anastasia Beverly Hill’s products are phenomenal, we all know that, and I’ve used both the pomade and the brow definer pencil religiously. I can say without reservation that this triangular pencil is a game changer and requires way less precision than freehand painting the pomade! Perfect for travel or low-fuss folks like me.

Studio Skin 24 Hour Oil-Free Hydra Foundation - Smashbox

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and drier cheeks, and let me tell you that it has been a JOURNEY to find your girl a good foundation that will provide a more full coverage / buildable matte approach. I’ve been a diehard Smashbox user since I got re-shade matched a few years back. If you have combo skin, this is just the foundation for you.

Full Cover Concealer - MAKE UP FOR EVER

I don’t wear concealer in a traditional sense - I don’t struggle with under eye bags or feel the need to brighten where someone better versed in makeup application may apply concealer. However, I have a considerably sized red birthmark right in the middle of my chin! Before I apply foundation, I like to apply a good amount of concealer to my chin and to my cheeks to color correct some of the redness from my rosacea (yes, I know there’s specific color correcting products, too - don’t come for me!). It does the job and it’s one of the best I’ve tried!

All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray - Urban Decay

This is my fave setting spray and I swear I haven’t used anything different in the past 10 years! It’s just that good. It lasts a long time like the name says and always keeps your makeup in place. I’m not a big eye makeup gal really at all due to my daily glasses use, but also recommend Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer potion if you don’t already use one.

Veil Translucent Setting Powder - Hourglass

I had seen the beauty gurus rave about this translucent setting powder for agessss and finally pulled the trigger a couple years ago. I’m obsessed! It adds such a nice finish, nothing too dewy or too drying - just enough to create a set, airbrushed complexion. I add this on top of my regular foundation.

Skincare

Pure Skin Face Cleanser - First Aid Beauty

I’ll admit: I’m not the most regimented about my skincare and as I’m approaching 30 more rapidly, I want to establish a more proper, medical grade skincare routine, but for now First Aid Beauty has really been improving my skin! I can touch and tell a stark difference in my skin between even just a few days of using it vs. not using it - my skin is way more hydrated and smooth after my daily cleanser and moisturizer. This cleanser is good for folks with redness, which is obviously perfect for me! I also like that this line is cruelty-free - always a nice bonus.

Ultra Repair Cream - First Aid Beauty

Paired with the cleanser above, this moisturizer from First Aid Beauty is a non-negotiable in my routine! I’ve noticed over time that my skin is overall less red and flakey, which is a huge testament to the quality of this cream. This enforces long-term hydration and is also suitable for those with eczema and other related skin conditions.

Misc. Beauty

“Coffee Break” Perfume - REPLICA

You do not want to sleep on any of REPLICA’s fragrances! I came across “Coffee Break” last year and can’t get enough. It comes in a cute 10ml travel size for those on the go (and on a budget), and also 30ml & 100ml options for your vanity staples.
