Rutledge Family Farm Sunflower Festival (Olympia, Washington)

The yearly sunflower fests in the area are not something to pass up! I tried Schilter’s a couple years back and am so thrilled to have been able to try The Rutledge Family Farm Sunflower Festival this summer.

The flowers were in full bloom and featured a variety of colors - the favorite bright yellows, more muted oranges, even blacker and darker reds! Your ticket for entry allowed you to cut a flower of your own to take home, and of course more were available for purchase.

Don’t forget to take a pic in the photo frame to memorialize your visit!

One of the more unique things that I absolutely loved about the Rutledge experience is all of the unique photo opps they had - two pictured above: the tractor and the sunflower swing, but they even had a bathtub and other inventive options to pose in/with. This would be ideal if your family is planning a pro photoshoot, just bring your photog and show up!

I also just love having fun with different angles and experimenting to see which photos look the coolest.
