Plus Size Summer Outfits 2025 | July 2025 Nuuly Roundups

This month’s Nuuly clothing rental lineup was short but so sweet. I came down with COVID partway through July (ugh), which meant my time with these pieces was limited - but the ones I did get to wear? Instant favorites! From coffee shop co-working to jazz in the park, these four looks made a strong impression. I’ve already saved most of them for future re-rents, because I need more time with these gems!

Plus Size Summer Outfits 2025
(July Nuuly Roundup)

Off-The-Shoulder Twist Top by Maeve (Anthropologie) + Days End Linen Pull-On Pants by Free People

This set made such a flirty, fun look for a casual day of co-working at a local coffee shop. The twist-front top paired perfectly with the wide-leg linen pants, creating a breezy summer vibe that felt put-together without trying too hard. While the off-the-shoulder straps on the top weren’t adjustable (and slipped a bit - I’m 5'3"), the overall fit still worked and brought in some compliments. The pants? A dream. So comfy, they felt like wearing fancy pajamas in the best possible way. I’m wearing an XL in both pieces.

Why I loved it:

  • Breezy, effortless summer look

  • Perfect balance of cute + comfy

  • Linen pants felt like elevated PJs

  • Great for coffee shops or casual hangs

Dover Denim Playsuit by Free People

I wore this striped denim jumpsuit to a painted pottery date with my book club besties, and it made me feel like a true artsy queen. The structured denim gave it just enough shape while still being comfy enough to move, sit, and paint away. With its peter pan collar and vintage-y vibes, this silhouette was a little outside my usual comfort zone but I’m so glad I gave it a spin! It’s not something I would’ve picked off a rack, but Nuuly made the experiment easy (and a total win). I’m wearing an XL.

Why I loved it:

  • Artsy, playful silhouette

  • Surprisingly comfy structured denim

  • Unique print I wouldn’t have tried otherwise

  • Perfect for creative outings with friends

Tiered Flutter-Sleeve Dress by Anthropologie

This dress was a stunner! I wore it for a full summer day of antique shopping, café lunching, and an evening jazz in the park event - and it carried me through it all with ease. I sized up to a 1X since the XL was already rented, and while it was a bit big (and the back cutout sat a little low - underwear watch!), it still looked so good. A kind stranger even rolled down her car window to shout compliments at me! The tiered fabric gives it a romantic, floaty feel, though shorter folks might need to lift the hem a bit while walking. Still, it’s a piece I’d absolutely re-rent.

Why I loved it:

  • Romantic and full of movement

  • Ideal for daytime-to-evening plans

  • Cutout back adds a flirty detail

  • Compliment magnet, truly!

Even with a shorter rental window, July’s Nuuly picks delivered big-time. I stepped out of my comfort zone with new silhouettes, styled comfy-cozy looks for casual hangs, and found a few unforgettable favorites I’ll definitely rent again. If you’ve been on the fence about trying Nuuly, let this be your sign - especially if you’re curvy and love experimenting with your style on your own terms. :)

What’s your fave from the haul? Have any Nuuly pieces you’d recommend to a fellow plus size queen?
