Plus Size Summer Outfits 2025 | May & June 2025 Nuuly Roundups

Summer in the PNW means long golden evenings, fresh seafood dinners, and every excuse to play dress-up. This season’s Nuuly clothing rental was packed with standout pieces that brought major joy to birthday dinners, Pride celebrations, and even 4th of July picnics! From flirty florals to sequined stunners, here are the plus size outfits I wore, styled, and loved this month - and yes, a few are saved in my Nuuly closet for future re-rents. ;)

Plus Size Summer Outfits 2025
(May & June Nuuly Roundup)

Midsummer Midi Dress by ASTR The LabeL (IN YELLOW)

This dress made my fondue birthday dinner feel extra special! The breezy, tiered silhouette, smocked back, and soft floral print gave it just the right amount of romance. While the top runs a little snug (especially for fuller chests) and doesn't offer much structure, the flowy fit and leg-baring slit make it ideal for warm summer evenings. I’m wearing a 1X in the color Yellow.

Why I loved it:

  • Lightweight and airy for hot days

  • Gorgeous color and feminine floral print

  • Made me feel so beautiful!

Would absolutely rent again and I’ve saved it to my Nuuly closet in case there’s a wedding or other special occasion where I may need it again!

Eyelet-Border Tank by Maeve (Anthropologie)

This tank totally exceeded my expectations. The thick, high-quality fabric felt structured without being heavy, and the eyelet trim against the soft blue stripes gave it a really elevated look. I wore it to a casual birthday celebration with friends paired with a black maxi skirt and sandals for an easy summer vibe, but it could definitely be dressed up if you’re feeling fancy. I’m wearing an XL.

Why I loved it:

  • Thick, soft fabric with a luxe feel

  • Eyelet detail = instant charm

  • Breezy but polished

  • So versatile for styling up or down

Patch Pocket Shortalls by LACAUSA

These shortalls were such a win for a double date night at a local arcade. The lightweight yet high-quality fabric made them incredibly comfy and easy to move in - ideal for hopping between games! The adjustable tie straps give great flexibility, and while they (and the rest of the piece!) could use a quick iron post-wash (I skipped it, no regrets), they still looked adorable. I’m wearing a 1X.

Why I loved it:

  • Super soft, high-quality fabric

  • Easy to throw on and go

  • Adjustable straps for the perfect fit

  • Got tons of compliments!

  • Super cool designer: LACAUSA is Spanish for “the cause”. This LA-based designer uses ethical and eco-conscious production practices.

Sleeveless Flounce Swing Mini Dress by Maeve (Anthropologie)

This one was such a standout for a warm summer night at the wine bar with a friend. The peachy color, fun flounce silhouette, and eye-catching print struck the perfect balance between casual and elevated. I loved how light and breathable it felt — ideal for sipping wine al fresco! I’m wearing an XL.

Why I loved it:

  • Beautiful, unique print

  • Flowy + flattering silhouette

  • Tie straps for an extra touch of charm

  • Great for girls’ nights or date nights

Vegan Leather Pintucked Cami by Let Me Be

This cami brought the drama in all the best ways. I wore it to kick off Pride weekend in Seattle at a drag show and felt so confident and stylish. The structured vegan leather is thick and super high quality - definitely a little warm, but perfect for a night out. I dressed it down with a plain black maxi skirt given the temperature out, but it would look super hot with a mini leather skirt for clubbing! I added a belt to cinch the waist, and it took the whole look to the next level. I’m wearing an XL.

Why I loved it:

  • Statement-making and sexy

  • Thick, luxe-feeling fabric

  • Structured fit that flatters

Sequin Ombre Duster by Hutch

This duster was a whole vibe for Day 2 of Seattle Pride. I wore it to the parade and felt like a true bi-con - the ombré sequins shimmered in perfect pink, purple, and blue. While it’s a bit heavy and slightly itchy on bare arms, the drama it brings is absolutely worth it. I’m wearing an L and would rent it again in a heartbeat for concerts, drag shows, or anytime I want to feel a bit ~extra!

Why I loved it:

  • Head-to-toe sequin sparkle

  • Bi flag color palette perfection

  • A total statement piece

  • Ideal for concerts, parades, and drag shows

Shirred Bodice Ruffle Maxi Dress by Eloquii

This dress was made for the 4th of July - and honestly, any summertime picnic or sunny day outing. The food-themed print (lobsters! lemons! tomatoes!) was such a fun conversation starter - especially when a sweet little girl asked me to name every item on it. ADORABLE moment! The silhouette is ultra-flattering with feminine ruffle details, and it transitions effortlessly from casual games in the park to a dressed-up waterfront dinner. I’m wearing a 16W.

Why I loved it:

  • Whimsical foodie print = instant joy

  • Super flattering fit + breezy for summer

  • Easy to dress up or down

  • A standout for holiday gatherings

Once again, Nuuly knocked it out of the park with stylish, high-quality plus size pieces perfect for everything on my summer calendar. I love the freedom to experiment with new silhouettes and bold prints without committing to a full purchase. If you’re a fellow curvy girl looking to spice up your wardrobe rotation, I can’t recommend Nuuly enough - it’s like having a new closet every month!

What’s your fave from the haul? Have any Nuuly pieces you’d recommend to a fellow plus size queen?
