Plus Size Summer Outfits 2025 | April 2025 Nuuly Roundup
Warmer days are finally here, and that means it’s officially time to lean into all things light, breezy, and fun when it comes to personal style! This April’s Nuuly clothing rental resulted in some truly adorable plus size summer outfits - four of which made such an impression, I just had to share. :)
Whether you’re looking for casual layering staples or the perfect sundress for a wine bar date night, here’s a look at the plus size items I wore, styled, and loved this month (and spoiler alert: one was such a good deal, I bought it!).
Plus Size Summer Outfits 2025
(April Nuuly Roundup)
Bella Baby Doll Mini Dress by Anthropologie
The second I put this dress on, I knew it was something special. The geo-printed fabric, breezy babydoll silhouette, and adjustable straps made it perfect for my 12-year anniversary dinner at a local wine bar. It’s cute, flattering, and comfy - all the best things! I’m wearing a 1XL.
✨ Why I loved it:
Pullover styling = easy breezy
So flattering on curves
Perfect for summer date nights
Would absolutely rent again.
Vine Half-Zip Pullover by Varley (in Green)
This elevated half-zip sweatshirt was the layering piece I didn’t know I needed. I wore it on my trip to Seabrook, WA - perfect for chilly beach walks - and kept reaching for it when I got back home. The material is thicker than anticipated, soft, and super high quality. I’m wearing a 1XL because the XLs were already rented (it’s slightly oversized and I think I could’ve opted for an XL).
✨ Why I loved it:
Cozy enough for cool spring days but still light for summer evenings
Styled easily with biker shorts and athletic tops
Great transitional wardrobe piece
Definitely bookmarking this one for a fall re-rent!
The Peregrine Midi Dress by Anthropologie
This smocked, floral midi dress looked like a dream and it felt like one, too. It was comfortable, flowy, and got me tons of compliments at a women's friendship brunch event. That said, the cut at the bust didn’t work great for me. If you’re smaller-chested or don’t mind a plunging neckline, this one’s for you! I’m wearing an XL.
✨ Why I liked it (but wouldn’t re-rent):
Gorgeous fabric and silhouette
Ideal for summer events and brunches
Not bra-friendly and didn’t feel secure on my chest
Beautiful, but not quite “me.”
Crinkle Gingham Smocked Top by Maeve (Anthropologie)
This smocked gingham top with flutter sleeves and ruffle details became my instant go-to. The stretchy, breathable fabric made it a dream to wear during a warm night at a local market. I styled it with burnt orange linen pants and sandals - peak summer vibes! I’m wearing an XL.
✨ Why I loved it:
Ridiculously comfy and flattering
Easy to pair with shorts, maxi skirts, or linen pants
On major sale - I bought it for keeps for only $15 (originally $78)!
This one is staying with me forever! :)
Nuuly continues to impress me with their range of plus size summer outfits - from casual and comfy to dressy and fun. I love having the freedom of trying new styles without a required commitment. If you’re curvy and craving wardrobe variety, I highly recommend giving Nuuly a go!
What’s your fave from the haul? Have any Nuuly pieces you’d recommend to a fellow plus size queen?
