Plus Size Fall Outfits 2025 | November-December 2025 Nuuly Roundups

As the temperatures dropped and the holiday season rolled in, my Nuuly rental leaned fully into cozy mode. From a fuzzy statement coat and a marshmallow-soft fleece to some festive sequins and a buttery-soft holiday top, this month's lineup had me feeling bundled up in the best way. There were a few surprising misses, a couple pieces I came very close to buying, and one standout coat that officially earned a permanent spot in my closet. Here's everything I rented (and my honest thoughts!).

Plus Size Fall Outfits 2025
(November-December Nuuly Roundups)

Checkerboard Fuzzy Overcoat By Hutch

If I could wrap myself in one piece of clothing all winter long, it would be this coat. Seriously. The fuzzy fabric is incredibly thick, soft, and substantial - it feels like wearing your favorite blanket, but make it fashion. ;) I first wore it to a marketing conference after an extremely early morning commute, and I swear it was so cozy I could've taken a nap in it, LOL. It quickly became my favorite item from the rental, and I loved it so much that I ended up buying it! Safe to say this beauty will be making appearances every winter for years to come. I'm wearing a 1X.

Why I loved it:

  • Thick, cozy, blanket-like feel

  • Beautiful quality that feels built to last

  • Easy to throw over any outfit

  • Loved it enough to make it a permanent part of my closet

Brunch Babe Blouse by Free People

I wanted to love this top so badly. The balloon sleeves are absolutely darling, and the green stripes give it such a fun, playful look for spring and summer. Unfortunately, the fit just wasn't there for me. The open-front design paired with the snug chest made it difficult to wear comfortably, and I found myself constantly adjusting it throughout the day. If you have a smaller bust, this may work beautifully for you - but for my fellow mid- to fuller-busted friends, I'd probably recommend passing on this one. I'm wearing a size L.

Why I liked it:

  • Gorgeous balloon sleeves

  • Fun, cheerful color and stripe pattern

  • Lightweight for warmer weather

  • Best suited for smaller busts due to the fitted chest and open-front design

Long-Sleeve Off-The-Shoulder Sheer Top by Maeve (Anthropologie)

This top completely stole my heart. I wore it for Thanksgiving dinner, and from the second I put it on, I understood the hype. The mesh fabric is unbelievably soft (seriously, it feels like butter), and the off-the-shoulder neckline makes it feel effortlessly flirty without sacrificing comfort. I styled mine with a skirt and heels for the holiday, but it would look just as cute with your favorite jeans and sneakers for a more casual vibe. I came very close to buying this one because I loved it that much! I'd recommend sizing down, though - it definitely runs a bit generous. I'm wearing an XL.

Why I loved it:

  • Buttery-soft mesh fabric

  • Flattering off-the-shoulder silhouette

  • Easy to dress up or down

  • Nearly earned a permanent spot in my closet

Mountain High 1/2 Zip Fleece by FP Movement

If a marshmallow could be turned into a fleece, this would be it. This pullover is unbelievably soft, cozy, and warm - exactly what you want to throw on for chilly winter outings. I wore it while Christmas tree hunting with my family, and it kept me perfectly bundled up all day. I came very close to buying it, but ultimately chose the checkerboard overcoat instead since it felt a little more unique. That said, if you're looking for a high-quality everyday fleece that you'll reach for constantly, this one is an absolute winner. I'm wearing an XL.

Why I loved it:

  • Marshmallow-soft and incredibly cozy

  • Perfect for holiday outings and everyday winter wear

  • Beautiful quality that feels made to last

  • A fantastic rental for anyone wanting an elevated everyday fleece

The Alani Cashmere Mock-Neck Sweater: Sequin Edition by Pilcro (Anthropologie)

This sweater had one job: make me look festive. And wow, did it deliver. I wore it to a client's holiday party and fully embraced my inner disco ball all night long. The emerald green cashmere paired with the all-over sequins makes such a fun statement piece for the holiday season. I'll be honest, it was a little itchy (the price we pay for sparkle, lol), but I would absolutely wear it again because the finished look was completely worth it. Next time, I'd probably style it with a more fitted skirt instead of the maxi I chose, but that's just personal preference. I'm wearing an XL.

Why I loved it:

  • The ultimate festive holiday sweater

  • Gorgeous emerald green with all-over sparkle

  • Perfect for holiday parties and celebrations

  • Worth a little itchiness for the ✨drama✨

Naomi Colorblock Turtleneck Sweater by Callahan

If cozy is your top priority, this sweater absolutely delivers. It has that oversized, blanket-like feel that's perfect for chilly winter days, and the chunky turtleneck makes it even cozier. The black-and-white colorblocking is timeless and easy to pair with just about anything. My one word of caution? The sleeves are huge, LOL. I definitely could've sized down, and I think the dramatic sleeves still would've had plenty of room. Just be prepared to keep an eye on them around your coffee, soup, or pasta! ;) I'm wearing a 1X.

Why I loved it:

  • Super soft, cozy, blanket-like feel

  • Classic black-and-white color palette

  • Perfect oversized winter sweater

  • Size down if possible - and watch those extra-long sleeves!

This rental was the perfect way to wrap up my Nuuly clothing rental era (for now!). I’m putting it on pause while I recover from a recent illness and an expensive home move. Nuuly is truly wonderful and it reminded me how much I love experimenting with pieces I might never try on in-store while also helping me discover a few forever favorites. Whether you're searching for the coziest winter layers or a standout piece for holiday festivities, I hope these reviews help make your next Nuuly box a little easier to curate. Until the next rental, friends… happy styling!

What’s your fave from the haul? Have any Nuuly pieces you’d recommend to a fellow plus size queen?
