Plus Size Fall Outfits 2025 | October 2025 Nuuly Roundup

October’s Nuuly clothing rental lineup was a fall dream - cozy textures, classic layers, and a few standout pieces that made the cooler days feel a little more stylish. Between my anniversary dinner, pumpkin patch outings, and early client shoot mornings, these five picks covered just about every vibe the season threw my way. From fuzzy pullovers to polished outerwear, here’s what I wore, loved, and saved for future re-rents this month!

Plus Size Fall Outfits 2025
(October Nuuly Roundup)

The Gemini Twofer Sweater Dress by Anthropologie

This dress was the definition of cozy elegance. The soft sweater top paired with the silky, asymmetrical skirt gave it such an effortless, elevated vibe - perfect for my mid-October anniversary dinner at a fancy restaurant. I rented the 1X since straight sizes were sold out, and while I was definitely swimming in it (an XL or even L would’ve been ideal), it still looked and felt amazing. It’s oversized in the best way - perfect for fall date nights when you want to be comfy AND chic.

Why I loved it:

  • Dreamy mix of cozy + polished

  • Perfect fall date night outfit

  • Unique “twofer” style that feels designer-level

  • Oversized fit = all-day comfort

Appleton Pullover by Varley

Absolutely adore this pullover - it’s like wearing a hug! The fuzzy texture, roomy fit, and easy quarter-zip made it my go-to throughout October. I wore it so many days in a row I almost talked myself into buying it (if only the price tag weren’t so steep!). It’s effortlessly chic for errands or cozy coffee shop days, and I’ll definitely be renting it again once winter hits. I’m wearing an XL and thought the sizing was great.

Why I loved it:

  • Soft, fuzzy perfection for chilly days

  • Polished enough for everyday wear

  • The side pockets = game changer

  • Already saved for future re-rents!

Classic Wool Overcoat by See U Soon

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this coat! It quickly became my outerwear MVP for early client video shoots and those chilly fall mornings when you’d rather stay in bed. The drop-shoulder design gives it a relaxed, modern feel, while the warm wool fabric makes it incredibly practical for busy days on the go. I wore it dressed down with jeans and dressed up for professional outings - and it handled both effortlessly. I seriously considered buying it, but for now it’s safely saved for future re-rents. I’m wearing a size L.

Why I loved it:

  • So warm yet super polished

  • Drop-shoulder fit = effortless cool

  • Perfect for both work + casual days

  • A forever classic I’d absolutely rent again!

Cornwall Shirt Jacket by Faherty

This flannel was fall perfection! The soft, high-quality material felt instantly cozy and elevated - you can absolutely tell it’s well made. I wore it to a pumpkin patch/apple picking outing and it was the perfect mix of cute, comfy, and seasonal. The longline silhouette gave it a more polished look than your average flannel, making it great for layering on chilly days. I’m wearing an XL and will definitely be re-renting this one next fall (or sooner!).

Why I loved it:

  • Luxe, high-quality fabric you can feel

  • Perfect fall layering piece

  • Great length and structure

  • Cozy plaid done right

Balloon-Sleeve Scoop-Neck Collared Blouse by Anthropologie

Okay, not gonna lie: I probably could’ve gone with a medium in this, and I haven’t said that since elementary school! LOL. This blouse definitely runs large, so keep that in mind when renting. The design itself is absolutely darling though - soft balloon sleeves, a subtle peplum hem, and a feminine silhouette that works with just about anything! I wore it mostly with jeans for coffee shop hangs with friends, but it would also look amazing tucked into a skirt for something dressier. I may not rent it again, but I’d definitely recommend it if it fits your fall outfit vision. I’m wearing a size L but could’ve sized down twice from my normal XL.

Why I loved it:

  • Sweet, feminine details

  • Flowy + flattering shape

  • Great for casual or dressed-up looks

October’s Nuuly edit might be one of my coziest yet - equal parts comfort and polish. I found new favorites I can’t wait to re-rent once winter hits (looking at you, Varley pullover 👀) and rediscovered how good it feels to mix practicality with a little fall flair. If you’re looking to refresh your cold-weather wardrobe without the commitment, Nuuly clothing rental is the move.

What’s your fave from the haul? Have any Nuuly pieces you’d recommend to a fellow plus size queen?
