Luxury Picnic Brunch Experience with Bottles + Bites (Olympia, Washington)
Y’all are going to want to get in on this! Recently, I was lucky enough to win a luxury picnic brunch experience with Bottles + Bites, a local, innovative and equally iconic luxury picnic and wine tasting brand - thanks to my amazing friend and future wedding gown shop, Weddings with Joy! WWJ was having their own birthday celebration and I entered to win their giveaway without thinking much of it… I was FLOORED when I got notified that I actually won! I decided to wait for the weather to warm up a bit and save my brunch for some birthday outdoor fun in June (my bday is May 24). I couldn’t wait to share this with you guys because it was truly so special and unique. You know me, I love a trendy vibe and B+B is nothing short of it!
When I saw the outdoor tablescapes that B+B had executed previously, I immediately knew I had to do it at my friend Mandy’s - she lives on a beautiful property overlooking the Boston Harbor Marina. We set the date and I quickly got things in motion with the B+B gals. I told them I wanted to upgrade the experience and pay for a special custom cake from my friend Amber of Sift + Gather, as well as add on another charcuterie platter - finalizing my selections of one sweet brunch platter and one savory meat + cheese platter.
As for the visuals, I chose their blush palette and kept things simple and elegant, and suggested that my guests dress in pastels or spring-inspired colors for a proper “tea party-esque” vibe.
I mean, look how gorgeous! Their team member arrived an hour early to Mandy’s house and set up everything on her own, and came back to pick everything back up. It’s a smooth, full service set up / clean up. The owners were also complete gems and available to answer any questions I had prior.
The food was a hit! They went all out: bagels, croissants, muffins, scones, quiches, fruits, crackers, meats, cheeses, breads, pretzels, nuts + olives, the list goes on and on. Our bellies were so happy!
They also stocked us with bottles of champagne and juice, and a fun Polaroid camera for some fun shots!
The cake was DIVINE, although I can’t say I expected any different from Miss Amber! I gave vague flavor direction to the B+B gals and Amber whipped up something amazing. She ended up creating a fresh fruit + cream-filled cake and topped it off with her famous spiced doughnuts (these are raved about by all who know and love them!).
I’m so honored that my friends rallied around me in a particularly rough spot in life (I had been battling some mental health setbacks the month before and was mid-bronchitis the day of the brunch!) and came out to make my belated birthday so very special. I am such a lucky girl!
