48 Hours in Spokane, Washington (Summer 2024)
This summer, Jared and I headed to Spokane to visit our friend Lauren for the weekend and found some cute little gems along the way! I write these little trip roundups to help others gather ideas for their upcoming trips - I hope you enjoy and find something of value. :) This is 48 Hours in Spokane, Washington!
48 Hours in Spokane, Washington
Spokane Indian Baseball Game
We’re all such baseball fans so it only seemed right to see Spokane’s local team, the Indians. It was such a cute stadium complete with all the bites and treats you could want! Posing with the mascots is a must and I highly recommend going for fireworks night. A truly perfect evening!
Brunch @ Kalico Kitchen
A true diner brunch classic, Kalico Kitchen has a Denny’s or Shari’s feel but with a nice locally owned-and-operated touch. I did an eggs benedict and hash, and of course we had to try their iconic cinnamon roll French toast - sooo good. While I’m partial to a more boujie, elevated brunch moment, this was pretty good!
Manito Park (+ Rose Hill)
The perfect stroll to break up our eating adventures, we walked around Manito Park and Rose Hill (which is home to over 150 varieties of hybrid tea roses and miniature roses, along with a collection of old-fashioned roses!). I would definitely come back to this darling spot! A picnic sounds even better.
Pig Out in the Park @ Riverfront Park
The reason we visited during Labor Day Weekend is to have the legendary life experience of Pig Out in the Park and lemme tell you, it did not disappoint! While most of the food is fair favorites, you can find a wide variety of cuisines from all different countries here. I have to say that the elote corn was my personal fave! There was also a ton of live music and the energy in the park was unmatched.
Coffee @ The Thomas Hammer Reserve
One of my favorite spots from the trip was the Thomas Hammer Reserve location! This coffee shop is so cute and totally up my alley. I loved their unique avocado toast! We spent a good 3 hours hanging with the crew here and I’d certainly come back again.
